Experienced coach of sport focused athletes and general population in movement and performance. I take a detailed view of how you manage your bodies mass to accomplish fundamental movements and apply corrections to restore a more efficient pattern. This equals less pain and a stronger, more adaptable body.
My Training style
Our bodies are complicated machines and call for different training strategies at different times essentially all working towards an end goal. A session might entail postural alignment using mobility and movement corrective techniques, bodyweight animal flow movements for a full body integrated workout or utilising barbells and kettlebells for a progressive approach to strength and conditioning. Whatever the style it aims to be fun!
My fitness philosophy
I see the fitness industry making a shift to a more balanced approach. A good personal trainer should educate and motivate you while providing you with every tool you need to succeed. Your time in the gym should be spent improving your performance so you can experience life to it’s fullest... whilst looking and feeling damn good in the process!

"I have trained with Steve Riley for 100 sessions and want to let you know that he has been a fantastic trainer. Steve's knowledge is impeccable. He can always find small tweaks to improve lifting technique, or causes of issues e.g. tight muscles. There is no exercise or stretch that Steve doesn't know about. Over the course of my training we have covered calisthenics, kettlebell training, power-lifting, weightlifting, free weights, machines plus lots of stretching and activation exercises. He has made several programs for me which have been very suited to my goals and have progressive overload. He is also great to talk to and is always in a friendly and energetic mood. This makes him fun to train with (except when doing sled pushing but no trainer can make this fun). He is always punctual to our sessions and will often go a little overtime if he has no other commitments.
